Having lived around Mont Blanc on and off for eleven years I have an intimate knowledge of the French Haute Savoie, Swiss Valais and Italian Val d’Aosta regions. In the summers I am available to guide classic Alpine ridges and faces, and in the winter can be found ski touring in remote corners of the region, or training for Ski Mountaineering races. I am on the British Ski Mountaineering Team, and amongst many other races have competed in the European Championships, the Patrouille des Glaciers (placed 3rd Z1-2014), the Pierra Menta and the Tour du Rutor.

In the summer months I offer a range of guiding from classic Alpine ridge and face routes through to more advanced modern classics. Throughout the winter I travel with skis mixing photography assignments with guiding ski touring, from classic runs like the Vallée Blanche, to more esoteric tours such as the Traverse of the Ecrins or remote expeditions to Geeenland.

My personal climbing interests span a broad spectrum, though I get excited about long Alpine style mixed routes. My portfolios on www.bentibbettsphotography.com will give an idea of what I have been up to in recent years.
